Valerie K. Gillespie, PE, CME
Valerie Gillespie has worked on large Commercial, Industrial, Historic Restorations and Research & Development projects throughout her career.
She was recruited upon college graduation to work for CUH2A, the largest Architectural & Engineering company in New Jersey in 1985. As a Senior Project Engineer and Associate of the firm, she was responsible for the design and construction oversight of new buildings for clients such as Schering Plough, Merck, Pfizer, Eli Lily, & Hoffman LaRoche.
In 2001, Ms. Gillespie joined T&M Associates as the Supervising Engineer for the Structural Engineering group in their Building Design Services Division. Ms. Gillespie was responsible for supervision and management of structural engineering as well as authoring contracts with clients, estimating and maintaining project budgets, scheduling, and communication with the client’s representative estimating and maintaining manpower, providing quality control, and supervising all production of structural engineering contract documents and construction phase services. some projects include The Orange Main Street Elementary School in Orange New Jersey, Historic Restoration of The Paramount Theater in Asbury Park, and The Spring Lake South Pavillion in Spring Lake.
In 2003, Ms. Gillespie founded Gillespie Engineering and has been providing clients with the same high quality structural engineering ever since.
Ms. Gillespie earned a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering - Structures Option from The Pennsylvania State University in 1985.
